What is Dice rolling?

In short, dice rolling, a.k.a stat rolling, is a process that all players have to endure if they wish to create a new character. After selecting the perfect look and the perfect name, if you want to have the perfect stats, you will have to spend anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours rolling the red dice.

The Art of Dice Rolling

Dice rolling is a part of Maple Story that defines this game. Some consider it annoying, others consider it torture. But Wizet implemented it for a purpose, and I can tell you what that purpose is. I don't know. And neither does 40 million Maple Story players. But this "feature" is not going away anytime soon, so players like you will just have to bite the bullet. But here are some techniques that will save you a bit of time and effort.

-This method involves a piece of black tape, or a piece of black paper with tape. All you need to do is tape over the stats you do not need a "4" on. This lets you concentrate on stats that you need instead of stats you don't need.

-If you are going to be staring at your screen for hours, why not lessen the stress on you eyes by turning down the brightness?

-Don't, I repeat, Don't, click the dice as fast as you can. You will likely skip the 4,4 stats that you need, and that will waste a lot of time. Instead, find a pace that will guarantee less mistakes. Remember the saying, "Slow and steady gets the perfect stats", or was it "wins the race"? Whatever, you know what I mean.

-Be creative. Some people develop techniques that suits them best. You should use whichever method you feel comfortable with.

-If you are going to make a warrior, then make the name have the word mage in it because it does increase the chance to get other jobs perfect stats. Just don't actually use that name. (Just kidding)

Conclusion

This process takes time and patience, but if you don't get the right stats on your first try, just try again. 40 million players rolled the perfect 4,4 character, and so can you!!!
