Assassins, one of the most popular class. If you decide to start an Assassin unfunded you can but it will be tough so I suggest you start with a different job and become funded but here is the best way to start unfunded.
First just train and loot as much as you can since your unfunded you need as many mesos and you can get, but please don't beg others for mesos it would make them defame you. The best is to stay quite and loot what others didn't loot or your own loot. Do the most quest as you can and get the prizes. Sell the prizes if they are scrolls. Around level 40 you can do quest that give 60% Glove Attack the the items the person require cost a lot. Sell the scrolls you get which are now worth 2.4 Million mesos now, they used to be worth 6 Million mesos but the prices dropped.
Secondly don't spend your mesos on thing you don't need. Such as a surfboard or something you think is cool to walk around with. Save as much as you can for Throwing Stars or a high attack work glove. The attack id prefer is 7 not to low attack and won't cost much. At your lower levels you won't have 7-9 million mesos of course, but around level 40 you can afford one then buy it. Around level 50 you have mesos to spare and need Throwing Stars? Buy Tobi they are the best in my opinion, not too pricey for the unfunded Assassin.
Third and finally don't give others mesos. Your unfunded so why give away mesos you desperately need? If you are tempted to spend your mesos store a couple 100k in storage and try not to use the mesos you have for new equips use them for potions and recharging.

LimitedEdition's Assassin Guide

The Beginning

Create a character with any thing you want except it must have for INT and STR 5/4, 4/5, 4/4, this may take a while so don't try 4/4 settle for 5/4 or 4/5. Start of doing the quest killing Green Snails and level on these till your level 3. Head over to Blue Snails and once you hit about level 9, you can go to Victoria Island and train at Henesys. Make SURE you have 25 DEX by level 10 or you can't be get the job as a Rouge and the rest goes into LUK.

The Build For Stats

Now most people decide to follow normal build just LUK and DEX for the new equip every few levels. I'd prefer this build because being low DEX means you wear mostly same equips. The Normal Build for Stats is your DEX should be 2x your level. For example, your level is 15 your DEX is 30. The best way to raise this with no confusion is 2 DEX every level and 3 LUK every level. Once you hit level 40, the build changes slightly. From then on you only add 1 DEX and 4 LUK.
