introduction

This is my advise for how to create a powerful Magician:

ability points

At the beginning, when you are creating your character, you put a name, you select some equipments, and ROLL THE DICE. Rolling the stats need to be like thet: 4 DEX, 4 STR, X INT and X LUK. If you've searched for it more then 15 minutes and it still does not show up, then it is alright to have such stats: 5 str\dex, 4 str\dex, X int and X luk.

Now, after you made you character, you need your luk be always lvl+3, for example, you are lvl 23, so 23+3=26 so 26 is the number of LUK you need, all the rest of your AP go to INT. You may have heard of an AP build which involves putting all AP into int and nothing to luk, causing a mage to be able to deal more damage, but if you are a lukless mage, you cant wear mage equips thet add int, so i guess thet kind of the same, just realy bad defence...

skill points

It may sound kind of weird but this will work excellent! (with my experience)

  • lvl 8 - 1 at energy bolt [1]
  • lvl 9 - 3 at mp recovery [3]
  • 10 - 2 at mp recovery [5] and 1 at improving Max MP Increase [1]
  • 11 - 3 at magic claw [3]
  • 12 - 3 at claw [6]
  • 13 - 3 at claw [9]
  • 14 - 1 at claw [10]
  • 15 - 2 recovery [7] 1 at Increase [2]
  • 16 - 2 recovery [9] 1 at Increase [3]
  • 17 - 3 claw [13]
  • 18 - 3 claw [16]
  • 19 - 3 claw [19]
  • 20 - 1 claw [maxed] 2 recovery [11]
  • 21 - 2 recovery [13] 1 Increase [4]
  • 22 - 2 recovery [15] 1 Increase [5]
  • 23 - 1 recovery [maxed] 2 Increase [7]
  • 24 - 1 Increase [maxed] 2 magic guard [2]
  • 25-30 - 3 magic guard (till maxed)

(Side note from bewnt: That's funny, you do not max MP Increase first. This will cause the mage to have very little MP at later stages. In addition, magic claw is horribly expensive at early levels, which is why it is maxed out later. If there is any reason for your build, could you kindly put it here? Newbies may get confused after reading your guide. Thanks ^^)

second job

In 2nd job i prefer fire wizard, why? cos they are the strongest, and can deal most damage. But others have their good points too, like ice wizard which lvl faster with the Thunder Bolt area and mob attack, and cleric because of the Heal and being one of the best classes at 3rd job.
