Note: this article is about the GMS feature, not to be confused with MapleStory Japan's Maple Trade System.
The Maple Trading System (abbreviated MTS) allows users to safely buy and sell items for NX Cash in-game. It can be accessed through the trade button on the bottom right side of the game screen.
Listing an Item
Items can be sold at a set price or auctioned.
Some special items, usually marked untradable, cannot be sold through the MTS.
Listing Fees
For every listing you place, you will be charged 5000 mesos. This is regardless of whether the item sells or not.
The minimum any item can be sold for is 500 NX, although merchandise such as Etc items can be grouped into stacks with the same maximum size as they can in your inventory (i.e. 100 for White Potions). With each transaction, Nexon adds an extra 500 NX plus 7% of the listed price.
- For example, if you sell 100 Jr. Necki's Skins for 500 NX, the listed price for you is 500 NX, that is what you will get when it sells. However, the actual sale price would be 500 + 100 + (500*7%) = 671. Therefore, the lowest sale price you can buy things for is 671 NX.
- If you sell that Stars and Stripes you've been holding for 1,000 NX, Nexon would add 500 NX (100 + (1000*7%)), bringing the sale price to 1,500 NX but when it sells you will get 1,000 NX.
- In addition, the transfer inventory can hold up to 48 items. If there are more, you cannot conduct any transaction until you remove at least one item. The transfer inventory is where items go that you listed for sale, but expired before they sold. This can be used as a storage system, albeit with a 5k cost (which is incredibly cheap at higher levels). It is recommended you do not use MTS as a storage system. Nexon is taking precautions to prevent this by increasing the nx price of items. Also, it causes lag on the game itself, so try not to use as a storage replacement please.
