As a beginner, you may not have a job yet. But with much training you will soon be qualified for your 1st job advancement.
You start MapleStory as a beginner, the form you take when you begin a new character.


Although the beginner is not equipped with any specials skills, there are still basic, crucial skills such as walking, jumping, sitting, climbing up the ladder etc. to be mastered.
The beginner does not have any very special skills, but can use the three beginner skills: [[Three Shells]], [[Nimble Feet]], and [[Recovery]].
 
The purpose of the beginner is to educate you on how to walk, move, climb ladders, jump, attack, and many other functions that will come to be useful later on.

The requirements and the places for the job advancement differ from job to job. In MapleStory, 5 job advancements are available for your character.
