A couple new features have been added to MapleTip! Since we know that people are moving on to widescreens, we have decided to allow you to add widescreen youtube videos.
MapleStory's twitter account, @MapleWorld is full of ban counts these days. Within only a couple of days, the twitter account claims to have banned hundreds of people. Mostly they are hackers and gold farmers.

The MapleTip video portal now allows you to use the widescreen option by default. Those that do not have javascript enabled will still be able to use the legacy small format.
Good job Nexon, hackers are banned and gold farmers are getting hit head on. However, there shouldn't be so much manpower wasted on simply going around to ban people.

The MapleTip forums' youtube bbcode now allows you to use the widescreen format by default as well. Feel free to try it out by adding your own MapleStory MMV videos to the Video forum.
Instead, one suggestion is to completely legalize meso selling in the cash shop and advertise it as a legitimate way to purchase mesos. Such would effectively ruin the sales of the gold farmers and cause them to either sell at a lower price or shut down. There would be less of an incentive as there is a legal alternative.

You can, of course, stick with the old youtube display by using the youtubesmall tags.
On the other hand, why not introduce an ignore function? This would shut down the spammers in the free market more easily than to wait for a GM to come and ban the person. Just type in the chat box, /ignore <nowiki>[name]</nowiki> and you'd never see their chats again.

Enjoy!
Simple suggestions yet so powerful. Comments? What is your opinion? Feel free to post it! Remember, guests can post.
