The Archer is the first job advancement for a Bowman.

Becoming an Archer

After you create a new character and have decided to become an archer, make sure you are level 10 beginner and have at least 25 DEX. Go to Athena Pierce in Henesys Park, which is, obviously, located at Henesys Park. Press up at the statue you see when you first enter the park. You'll be on the other side, saving you a little bit of time... You'll see a big house, go in there, and talk to Athena Pierce. Once you have spoken with her, you become an archer. This is when the fun begins.

Dice roll

The best possible stats for an archer are: x STR // x DEX // 4 INT // 4 LUK (x meaning any number). The reason for this is that archers do not need to have points into INT and LUK, so having the lowest stats for these two allow you to put more points into DEX and STR. But remember, don't waste upto an hour to find these stats. 5/4 4/5 or 5/5 are also very helpful. If you get one of these stats just take it so then you can train and build the other stats instead of sitting there for a stat that isn't much different.

Hunter Stat Distribution

Level 10 -- 15 Strength, 47 Dex.
Level 15 -- 20 Strength, 67 Dex.
Level 20 -- 25 Strength, 87 Dex.
Level 25 -- 30 Strength, 107 Dex
Level 30 -- 35 Strength, 127 Dex.
Level 35 -- 40 Strength, 147 Dex.
Level 40 -- 45 Strength, 167 Dex.
Level 45 -- 50 Strength, 187 Dex.
Level 50 -- 55 Strength, 207 Dex.
Level 55 -- 60 Strength, 227 Dex.
Level 60 -- 65 Strength, 247 Dex.
Level 65 -- 70 Strength, 267 Dex.
Level 70 -- 75 Strength, 287 Dex.

All you're doing is making sure that your strength is +5 your level, and put the rest into dex. Hunters have less dex than crossbowmen/women because they put those points into strength. Don't worry about this, it's only so you can wear your equips.

An alternative way to distribute your Ability Points is to add all your points into DEX for five levels, then add five points into Strength, assuming you already have five Strength above your level.

Crossbowman/woman Stat Distribution

Level 10 -- 10 Strength, 52 DEX.
Level 15 -- 15 Strength, 72 DEX.
Level 20 -- 20 Strength, 92 DEX.
Level 25 -- 25 Strength, 112 DEX
Level 30 -- 30 Strength, 132 DEX.
Level 35 -- 35 Strength, 152 DEX.
Level 40 -- 40 Strength, 172 DEX.
Level 45 -- 45 Strength, 192 DEX.
Level 50 -- 50 Strength, 212 DEX.
Level 55 -- 55 Strength, 232 DEX.
Level 60 -- 60 Strength, 252 DEX.
Level 65 -- 65 Strength, 272 DEX.
Level 70 -- 70 Strength, 292 DEX.

Crossbowman/woman have more dexterity than a hunter but less strength, because their strength is equal to their level, whereas the hunters have strength +5 their level. Basically, each time you level up, make sure your strength is equal to your level and put the rest into DEX if you are becoming a crossbowman/woman.

An alternative way to distribute your Ability Points is to add all your points into DEX for five levels, then add three points into Strength (and add two to DEX), assuming you already have three Strength above your level.

Another way for the starting for both jobs (optional)

Another way if you want to train fast at the starting is to add your DEX to 25 (stop adding) and add the rest to strength. You only apply this until level 15 and then you follow the guides above. In this way you will save arrows (as 10 using a bow is a waste of money),but you will use a melee weopan from 10 to 15.(Preferably, use a metal axe)
