Q: Why should I go to Demethos? A: Exciting adventures await all brave travelers to Demethos! You no longer need to feel intimidated by advanced players in other worlds as everyone gets a fair chance to start new in Demethos.
 
Q: How do I go to Demethos? A: Will my character be reset? If you are an existing player, your current character(s) will remain as they are, in Scania, Bera, Broa, Windia, Khaini, Bellocan, Mardia, Kradia, and Yellonde. You may use your existing Maple account to visit Demethos. A new registration is not needed unless you are new to MapleStory.
 
Simply select Demethos when you are in the "World Selection" screen. When you first log in, there are no characters in this world. Not to worry as your existing characters are still safe in Scania, Bera, Broa, Windia, Khaini, Bellocan, Mardia, Kradia, and Yellonde. In Demethos, you will have to start with new character(s), which means with 1 MapleStory account, you can now create 30 characters (3 in each world).
 
Q: Can I train my existing characters in Demethos? A: Existing character(s) in Scania, Bera, Broa, Windia, Khaini, Bellocan, Mardia, Kradia, and Yellonde are transferable to Demethos unless you buy the character transfer from Cash shop. You will need to start a new character in Demethos, if you do not have it. So if the traffic is too heavy for you in Scania, Bera, Broa, Windia, Khaini, Bellocan, Mardia, Kradia, and Yellonde, you may find it easier to train your new character in Demethos! Likewise, Demethos character will  be able to move to Scania, Bera, Broa, Windia, Khaini, Bellocan, Mardia, Kradia, Demethos worlds with the character exchange from cash shop.
 
 
Q: Can my IGNs in Scania, Bera, Broa, Windia, Khaini, Bellocan, Mardia, Kradia, Yellonde be used in Demethos? A: Your IGNs in Scania, Bera, Broa, Windia, Khaini, Bellocan, Mardia, Kradia, and Yellonde are protected. Therefore, they will not be usable in Demethos.

Demethos is the tenth Server of Global MapleStory. It was released on November 12, 2008 along with the arrival of Pirates.

At the time of release (as with all new servers), it faced an explosion of popularity. However following Christmas 2x events, the population all but died. Throughout 2009 the server frequently faced a scarceness of new players, and this generally effected moral of older players. Various users held events to try to lure in new players, but they mostly went unnoticed. Despite being petite, Demethos has a friendly community, slightly comparable to Khaini's. The economy is generally stable, and the most active channels are 1 and 2.
