This page is the place to be if you want to become a Cleric! I think you already know why Clerics are wanted in almost every party of every city of every continent, and so on. If you don't, I will tell you. Clerics are wanted for their special technique, Healing! Only Clerics can do that, and parties don't have to die very often with this benefit in their group. Please at least browse around because I just finished it today(Oct.23,2007)!! But whatever you do,DON'T EDIT MY GUIDE OR COPY IT AND SAY YOU WROTE IT BY YOURSELF!So are you ready to become a cleric?

To Become a Cleric

To become a Cleric, you must first become a magician. You should have at least 32 LUK or more and at least 93 INT or more. You don't need the INT requirement however like when you became a magician. All you have to do is go to Ellinia and into the Magic Library. Talk to Grendel the Really Old, and he will give you instructions to go to the 2nd job instructor. The person is on the top and I mean TOP of the map called The Forest North of Ellinia. Talk to him, and he will transport you into a map called Magic Tree Dungeon. There, you will have to collect 30 Dark Marbles in order to make the job instructor give you The Proof of a Hero, which is the permit for your job advancement. Once in doing so, go back to Ellinia, into the Magic Library, and talk to Grendel the Really Old once more. Then he will turn you into a Cleric!

Skills for your New-and-Improved Character!

As exciting as this is, you must remember that you will have to put Skill Points into your new Skills. You may still be able to use the skills of when you were a magician, but you cannot put anymore Skill Points into it. I cannot force you to put the Skill Points in any specific way, because it is your story. Anyhow, I will show you the skills for Clerics:

Teleport.gif TELEPORT Using the arrow keys to teleport at a set distance. The higher the skill level, the less MP you use using this technique. MASTER LEVEL:20 Type: Suppportive

I don't actually need to tell you this because you don't have to master this technique. Most players just make lv. 5 or so because this move isn't used much, unless you want to escape from monster spawns, walking through a large city, etc. Mostly, you should NEVER master this technique or almost master it because it is a waste of time to do that. You should only have 10 SP at this technique at most. But, if you still want to know its stats, you can go to [[1]]to look at them.

Cleric Personalities

Here I will show you the UP's $u$ and DOWN's T^T+.

UP's:

  • Can Heal all party members around training area
  • Doesn't need to use/buy HP potions by LV.35 because of Healing
  • Are wanted in every party because of techniques
  • Reduces MP potions by 75% by LV.40 (This counts to all 2nd job magicians.)
  • Healing can attack undead and devil-based monsters
  • Saves a lot of money because of their techniques
  • Are one of the most richest players in MapleStory
  • Are really smart (This counts for ALL Magicians with proper INT.)

DOWN's:

  • Gets hard to level up by LV.4X (X=any number)
  • Doesn't have much offense; only a lot of defense
  • Has one of the most lowest HP in MapleStory by their levels (this counts for all 2nd job magicians.)
  • When becoming Priest, it gets hard to level up because of monster spawns

So that settles that!

Monsters to Fight

Lv.30 to 40:

I suggest you leave Victoria Island once you become a Cleric. Go to Orbis, and train on Jr. Sentinals and Ice/Fire/Org. Sentinals. You can go to El Nath by going down all the way of the Orbis Tower, but don't go to the Aqua Road, which is located after the level B2 of Orbis Tower. The monsters there may be too powerful for you. You can train on the monsters of Orbis Tower, though. Also, you can go to Masteria to train on the monsters inside MesosGear, an area in the inside of The Big Ben. There is also a Halloween mansion for the Halloween Event, but I heard that it will last even after Halloween. But you have to be wearing a costume from the CashShop in order to enter during the Halloween event. I suggest you go after the events are over. There are really good quests for levels 30 to 40. You can train on those, but they are pretty hard for your levels. You may fight the monsters in the Swamps of Kerning City, but since there's Croco that's level 52 and sometimes you mistake a Ligator for it, vice versa.

Lv. 40 to 50:

I suggest you go to Aqua Road now, but don't go to the the Aqua Dungeon because the monsters there are levels 100 and above. Also, you won't be able to defeat Pianus, the boss of the Aqua Dungeon, so don't think about going there! You can train in Aqua Road, the outskirts of Ludibrium (though I don't think you should go into the Toy Factory because the monsters there can go up to levels of 100 and up such as Thanatos, the believed boss of the entire factory;and there are two of them to defeat if you want to defeat them!), and/or El Nath. Don't go to the El Nath dungeon though because there are monsters that range from level 60-90. Plus, I heard that Zakum resides in that area. Pretty great quests for the levels.

Lv. 50 to 60:

You can go and fight the regular Cellions and all that's related to it, though I'm not sure if it's in MapleGlobal.

Lv. 60 to 70:

You can go to the Toy Factory in Ludibrium, but don't go too deep. There are still monsters that you can't beat inside the factory. You can now go to El Nath and go to the areas which are cold. You can easily remember the areas because of its snowy background, and since it's so cold, you lose 10 HP every 10 sec. you stay out in the outskirts of El Nath. Fight the Yetis and all of those related to it. You can MAYBE fight Ceribus, one of the most common monsters in the El Nath Dungeon. Soon you'll be able to be a Priest!

How to become a Priest

Now that you're level 70, you'll be able to become a priest! Please go to [4] for more information on how to becoming a priest.
