Description
#REDIRECT Crusader Codex
The Crusader Codex is a collection of Monster Book Cards (which are monster-specific, unlike the match card type). Many new players mix this term up with Monster Card, which are the match game cards. When you collect a card, it is automatically inputted into your monster book and the monster is added to your collection. A list of the Monster Cards can be found here.

How to access the Crusader Codex
The normal key that is binded to the Crusader Codex is the "B" key in Global MS. You may need to re-bind it to a different key if that key is already occupied. The Crusader Codex is also part of your equipment, and can be accessed by double-clicking it within your equipment inventory. If you want to look at a specific card type, click here.

Bonuses
The more points you get from collecting cards, the higher the level of the Crusader Codex increases (and subsequently the base stats of the Crusader Codex will increase). Also, upon reaching certain levels, you will be awarded a medal that can be equipped.

<br>Level 10 (STR/DEX/INT/LUK +10) -- Points Required: 10,000 -- Medal Awarded: Legendary Collector (HP/MP +200, W.ATT/M.ATT +2)

Another benefit worth mentioning -- upon completing a set within the Crusader Codex, you may use that set's effect to gain that set's bonuses.

Notes
Monsters that are 15 or more levels higher than you will not drop cards for you until you raise your level.
Almost every monster will drop a card. However, there are some exceptions. Event monsters such as the Anniversary Cakes/Big Puff Daddy or monsters from Masteria will not drop any cards at all.
One-Time monsters, or monsters you can face only once and never again after like the Prime Minister, is a large concern/issue, as most Maplers have completed the Mushroom Castle quests. If you have completed the likes of these quests, you cannot get the card, no matter what you do.
*==Footnote==
However, the Prime Minister Mushroom Card can be bought from the Secretary of Magic

The Monster Book
Monster Book was the predecessor of the Crusader Codex. It was removed in the Big Bang update but later was reintroduced as the Crusader Codex. Maplers previously had to collect 5 cards from a monster for full information, and the cards did not drop as often. However, the Monster Book would display more information, such as the weaknesses and biography of a monster.
