Apparently, they also celebrate it being light, as most of the year, Versal is in the cover of darkness. Description
Versal appears to be an alternate dimension much different than Maple Story's world, where monsters are peaceful and people are given names based on the monsters esteemed names. Also, at Xmas time, they celebrate it differently than Maplemas. It is called Versalmas and they celebrate by giving gifts such as fish and cactuses away instead of the traditional gift giving as in Maplemas. Apparently, they also celebrate it being light, as most of the year, Versal is in the cover of darkness. It may be why Elpam Gorlab appears dark and mysterious because he is used to living in darkness than in light.
