Becoming a Fighter

If you want to become a Fighter, first head over to West Rocky Mountain IV. There you will see the Warrior Job Instructor. He will give you a letter addressed to Dances with Balrog. Go back to Perion and talk to Dances with Balrog. He will assign you on a mission to collect 30 Dark Marbles. You must defeat the Fire Boars to get the marbles. After your done with that, you will return back to the map with Dances with Balrog. Now just talk to the guy and select your job as Fighter. Congratulations on your advancement!

Basics

Fighters are the job with the highest HP in Maplestory. But they also have the lowest MP. Fighters also have incredible attack and defense. Now since your a fighter, you have to decide if you are going to use axes or swords. If you pick swords, you have to decide between one-handed and two-handed. I suggest two-handed swords, but it is really your choice. Here are some pros and cons.

  One-Handed Swords: Faster than two-handed.
                     
                     Pretty bad attack.

  Two-Handed Swords: High attack power.

                     Speed of the swords are normal speed.

  Axes: Very high and incredible attack power.

        With such power comes very long delay.

So, you can see, its pretty smart if you pick the direct middle. But again, it really is your choice.

AP Build

The AP build is the same as a warrior, except that you stop at 60 dex and you put everything else on str.

SP Build

There are two types of builds the PARTY BUILD and the SOLO BUILD

Lvl 31: 3 in Sword Mastery or Axe Mastery (4)
