This is a helpful guide from levels 1-70 for mages

Here is a beginner skill build

Lv.2-4: 1 recovery (3)

Lv.5-7: 1 Nimble feet (3)

Remember, by the time you are level 8, you need to have 20 (INT) intelligence

Edit by Blueset: Due to the new patch on MapleStory, any stats you place on your character will be
reseted to the stats of your first class. Note that Begginer, all though it is the "First Class",
is not the true first class.

Mage build:

Lv.8: 1 energy bolt (1)

Lv.9: 2 magic claw (2), 1 improving mp recovery (1)

Lv.10: 1 magic claw (3), 2 improving mp recovery (3)

Lv.11: 2 improving mp recovery (5), 1 improving max mp increase (1)

Lv.12: 1 magic claw (4), 2 improving max mp increase (3)

Lv.13-15: 1 magic claw (7), 2 improving max mp increase (9)

Lv.16: 1 magic claw (8), 1 improving max mp increase (10), 1 magic guard (1)

Lv.17-18: 1 magic claw (10), 2 magic guard (3)

Lv.19-28: 1 magic claw (20), 1 magic guard (15), 1 improving mp recovery (15)

Lv.29: 2 magic guard (17), 1 improving mp recovery (16)

Lv.30: 3 magic guard (20)

Build Synopsis:

20 Magic Claw (max)

20 Magic Guard (max)

16 Improving MP Recovery (max)

10 Improving Max MP Increase (max)

1 Energy Bolt

0 Magic Armor

At the same time with the first and second build, I need to tell you an ap build, that works very well with this sp build.

When you are making your character, you first need to get the stats of:

Str:4/5

Dex:4/5

Int:XX

Luk:XX (XX= anything)

----

From then you need: (ap build)

2: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 1 saved point (will help later)

3: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 1 saved point 

4: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 1 saved point 

5: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 1 saved point 

6: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 1 saved point 

7: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 1 saved point 

8: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 1 saved point , Yay! Now you are level 8. You can be a mage!

9: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 1 saved point 

10: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 1 saved point 

Next level, you start to use the saved points.

11: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 1 +MP point = 10 Saved points

12: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 3 +MP point = 8 Saved points

13: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 5 +MP point = 4 Saved points

14: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 5 +MP point = 0 Saved points

15: 3 INT, 1 LUK, 1 +MP point

From then on, 15 - infinity, raise 3 INT, 1 LUK, and 1 +MP point.

Lv.30: 1 Thunderbolt (1)

Lv.31-39: 1 Thunderbolt (10), 1 Teleport (9), 1 MP Eater (9)

Lv.40: 1 Cold Beam (1), 1 Teleport (10), 1 MP Eater (10)

Lv.41-49: 1 Cold Beam (10), 1 Teleport (19), 1 Meditation (9)

Lv.50: 1 Thunderbolt (11), 1 Teleport (20), 1 Meditation (10)

Lv.51-60: 1 Thunderbolt (21), 1 Cold Beam (20), 1 mp eater (20)

Lv.61-69: 1 Thunderbolt (30), 1 Cold Beam (29), 1 Meditation (19)

Lv.70: 1 Cold Beam (30), 1 Meditation (20)

Lv.81-86: 1 thunder spear (7), 1 magic composition (6), 1 magic booster (11)

Lv.87-89: 1 thunder spear (10), 1 ice strike (13), 1 magic composition (9)

Lv.90-96: 1 magic booster (18), 1 ice strike (20), 1 magic composition (16)

Lv.97-98: 1 magic booster (20), 1 thunder spear (12), 1 partial resistance (17)

Lv.99-101: 1 seal (3), 1 thunder spear (15), 1 partial resistance (20)

Lv.102-111: 1 seal (13), 1 thunder spear (25), 1 ice strike (30)
