'''Hayato''' the samurai is the Warrior class of the [[Sengoku]] group. Previously an exclusive from the Japanese server, Hayato, alongside the magician [[Kanna]] was imported into the Global server and eventually, to various others.

==Storyline==
Although the brutal warlord Oda Nobunaga was cementing his control of Japan it wasn't Enough to slake his thirst for power. Seeking immortality and to become a new demon king, he prepared a ritual at Honnou-ji in Kyoto. The feudal lords banded together and waged a fierce battle with the Oda forces in a desperate last bid to stop the evil lord. While the armies clashed outside, the legendary samurai Hayato, fought his way into the temple and challenged Oda himself to stop the ritual.

==Gameplay==
Hayato's gameplay features fast-paced mobility and lightning fast attacks. Paying homage real life feudal japanese lore and culture, Hayato's background and character reflects that of the traditional samurai.

As a Warrior, Hayato relies on STR as his main stat. His weapon of choice is the Katana and his secondary weapon is the Kodachi, a smaller secondary sword.

==Trivia==
*Hayato sets a landmark in Maplestory in being the first class to be released on a server besides the Korean Maplestory. He is followed by Kanna.
*Being inspired by real life samurai, many of Hayato's skills are named after certain terms (I.E. Hitokiri Strike, Jinsoku)
