Notes

• This monster is intended to be a Tanuki, not a Raccoon. Tanukis in Japanese mythology are often ascribed with shapeshifting abilities, and use a special leaf on their heads to perform these techniques
• This monster is probably also inspired by Super Mario Bros 3, since Flaming Raccoon's run animation bears a remarkable similarity to Mario's, especially since Mario had a Tanuki suit available to him in that game as a power-up.
